OneTouch Payroll incorporates interactive rules, pay classes, wage tables, and policies, as well as a graphical interface required to input and modify data. OneTouch Payroll is a real-time system that allows Payroll and HR Administrators, as well as employees, to enter data using transactions at effective dates (specific points in time). OneTouch Payroll captures those effective dates, and applies the changes to the database. Effective dates may be in the prior pay periods (retroactive processing), current (this pay period), or future pay periods (future dated processing).

The OneTouch Payroll engine then recalculates pay using the data values applicable at that effective date. The employee’s Expected Pay–the results of these pay recalculations–is available in seconds. OneTouch Payroll calculates employee deduction amounts on a pre-tax, post-tax, or imputed income basis, as well as employer contributions and benefit premiums. Outputs of these amounts can be pulled from the OneTouch system in reports, and provided to associated vendors.
